Jakob Stillmark
Jakob Stillmark, geboren 1994 in Gera, begann bereits in seiner Schulzeit mit Kompositionsunterricht bei Ernst-August Klötzke und studierte daraufhin Komposition bei Isabel Mundry in München. 2019 absolvierte er hier sein Master-Studium. Zusätzlich nahm er an Workshops und Meisterkursen mit Toshio Hosokawa, Peter Eötvös, Liza Lim, Younghi Pagh-Paan, Pierluigi Billone teil. Seine Werke wurden unter anderem in der Kammermusikreihe der Münchner Philharmoniker, bei der Biennale München, von der Deutschen Radio Philharmonie Saarbrücken, am Shanghai Conservatory of Music, in den Münchner Kammerspielen und am Staatstheater Darmstadt aufgeführt. Stillmark absolviert momentan ein Promotionsstudium an der Kunstuniversität Graz in Kooperation mit der Zürcher Hochschule der Künste und ist im Vorstand des aDevantgarde-Festivals in München aktiv. Derzeit erhält er ein Residenzstipendium des bayerischen Ministeriums für Wissenschaft und Kunst an der Cité des Arts in Paris.
Jakob Stillmark, born in 1994 in Gera, began composition lessons with Ernst-August Klötzke while still at school and went on to study composition with Isabel Mundry in Munich. He completed his Master’s degree here in 2019. In addition, he participated in workshops and master classes with Toshio Hosokawa, Peter Eötvös, Liza Lim, Younghi Pagh-Paan, Pierluigi Billone. His works have been performed in the chamber music series of the Munich Philharmonic, at the Munich Biennale, by the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie Saarbrücken, at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, at the Munich Kammerspiele and at the Staatstheater Darmstadt, among others. Stillmark is currently completing doctoral studies at the Kunstuniversität Graz in cooperation with the Zurich University of the Arts and is active on the board of the aDevantgarde Festival in Munich. He is currently receiving a residency scholarship from the Bavarian Ministry of Science and Art at the Cité des Arts in Paris.
